Here are 15 Mac short keys every user must know

Mac OS also comes with plenty of short keys just like Windows short keys. Mac OS is a desktop operating system made and developed by Apple Inc. exclusively for its own Computers- iMac and Macbook. Mac OS was originally named OS X until 2016 and Mac OS X until 2012. There are many versions of Mac OS so far.

Here are the short keys for Mac users to make their Apple Mac life easier-

1. Command-Q- When you click the X icon in Windows, the app or program closes but the case is not the same in Mac, the X button closes the Windows but doesn't quit the app i.e, the app keeps running and Windows users who just switched to Mac OS may get confused. So use Command-Q to quit any app in Mac.

2. Command-Tab- You will obviously know the Alt+Tab key in Windows ( If you have ever used Windows or ever being a Windows user ). The Command-Tab is the same as the Alt+Tab. It is used to switch between apps on Mac.

3. Function-Delete- Windows keyboards come with both Backspace key and delete key but Mac keyboards come up with only a delete key. The delete key on Mac works the same as the Backspace key on Windows keyboards i.e, both deletes from the left whereas the delete key on Windows deletes from the right. To do this on a Mac use the Function-delete key.

4. Command-M- On a Mac, you may click the little yellow dash button to minimize the active Window but it will be easier to just click Command-M to do so.

5. Command-Option-Esc- It can be used to call up the Force quit Application Window. It is the same as the Control+Alt+Delete in Windows.

6.Shift-Option- This Mac OS short key can be used to adjust volume and brightness.

7.Command-W- This short key in Mac OS can be used to close  Windows.

8. Command-Spacebar-  This key is the most useful key on the Mac keyboard, instead of clicking the magnifying glass to open the spotlight search, just press the Command-Spacebar key.

9. Command-X- This key is used to cut the selected item and copy it to the clipboard. It is the same as Control+X in Windows.

10. Command-C- This can be used to copy the selected item to the clipboard without cutting the selected item from its location. It is the same as Control+C in Windows.

11. Command-V- This can be used to paste the item which is copied to the clipboard, it is just like Control+V in Windows.

12. Command-A- Select all files or any other item just like Control+A in Windows OS.

13. Command-Z- Like Control+Z in Windows, this can undo the previous command.

14. Command-P- It is a short key to print the current document.

15. Command-S- It can be used to save the current document.
