Microsoft CEO teases next generation of Windows

Microsoft is planning something big and new later this year for the next generation of the most used PC operating system 'Windows'. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella teased 'The next generation of Windows' during his Build Keynote yesterday. This will be the new update to Windows 10, it will probably be Windows 10 version 21h2 after Windows 21h1 which has been released recently, and Windows 10 version 21h1 is the second Windows version update of the year 2021 and is set to release in October 2021.

“Soon we will share one of the most significant updates to Windows of the past decade to unlock greater economic opportunity for developers and creators. I’ve been self-hosting it over the past several months, and I’m incredibly excited about the next generation of Windows. Our promise to you is this: we will create more opportunities for every Windows developer today and welcome every creator who is looking for the most innovative, new, open platform to build and distribute and monetize applications. We look forward to sharing more very soon,” The tech giant CEO said in the statement.

The next generation of Windows could bring significantly UI changes to Windows 10 and Microsoft is also going to bring a new app store to Windows 10. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella also teased the new Windows Store and promised to unlock a better economy for developers within Windows. The new store will be different in UI and bring some significant changes. The store will feature new policy changes for developers. The store will allow developers to also submit apps like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc, according to the leaks and Microsoft will also bring its own apps including Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, Visual studio to the all-new Windows Store. Rumors also suggest that Microsoft will even allow third-party commerce platforms in apps and developers could avoid Microsoft's own 15% cut on apps and 12% cut on games. Users need not turn off the S mode in Windows 10 if all apps come to the all-new Windows store. Over 1.3 Billion devices are running Windows 10 and Microsoft's CEO says that Windows was never this important. Microsoft aims full concentration in Windows 10.

Microsoft confirmed last week that Windows 10X is dead and rather Microsoft will adding the best bits of Windows 10X features to Windows 10 in the upcoming updates. We will be finding some UI updates in Windows 10 version 21h2, also codenamed as the 'Sun Valley' update. Some of the things are already released to insiders such as new icons by ending the Windows 95 era icons. Microsoft is also fixing Windows 10 rearranging app issues on multiple displays and also improving Bluetooth audio support. We should except for more details in the coming weeks, says Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella.
