There is a problem today with computers that they often freeze. You bring a new laptop and after few days it starts to freeze which makes every user angry. This problem may cause a problem in your works, and make your computer ( laptop or desktop ) useless forever.

1. Too many programs running- Too many programs running can result in high CPU usage and high memory usage resulting in system hang/freeze.

Open Task Manager by right-clicking on the taskbar or use Control + Shift + Esc. Check which application is taking RAM and end programs taking so many resources.

2. Drive error/ corruption- Make sure your drivers are updated as old corrupted drivers cause the system to freeze and not work well.



3. Insufficient RAM- RAM is very important for your computer to run. Windows give applications how much RAM they need and if the RAM is insufficient then your PC will freeze. Try upgrading your RAM and if your RAM is below 6GB, you must definitely upgrade it.

4. Overheating- Overheating will cause your PC to stop or make it and it can also permanently damage your laptop or desktop parts. Always ensure that the Fans are clean and vents aren't blocked.

5. Faulty external devices- Fault devices such as Mouse and keyboard can cause Windows PCs to freeze. USB devices can also cause this.

6. Software error- Any third-party software can also make a computer hang. Check out remove this software or update them.

7. Corrupted system files- Windows often freeze because of corrupt system files.

8. Viruses- Virus is one of the main cause of system hanging or freezing. Go to Windows security and run a quick scan to check whether your PC is affected by any malware or virus. You can also use third-party anti-virus software.
