Internet Explorer will officially be removed from Windows 10 next year.

Internet Explorer, released in 1995 along with Windows 95 which was successful at that time and overtook Netscape successfully but now you may not like it and there is a 95% chance that you don't use it, and now it not very popular now but this browser once made up the 95% market share among the other web browsers but when Google released its own web browser Chrome, things changed and Firefox was also very developed and both web browsers became popular over time. Internet explorer is considered very slow and with no modern User interface and Microsoft Internet Explorer only exists on Windows OS and not any other operating system.

Microsoft before said that it will end support for Office 365 and services on the Internet Explorer later this year and today Microsoft announced that Internet Explorer 11 will officially go end of support next year, on June 15, 2022, after 27 years and there is no new version coming and it may be permanently removed from Windows 10 in the future updates.

What will happen to Internet Explorer after 15, June 2022?

Microsoft Internet Explorer will go out of support after15, June 2022 which means it will no longer receive security updates and patches. Internet Explorer will be disabled and you won't be able to use it. You might try to open but it may be direct to you to use the new Microsoft Edge which is Chromium-based. The main reason for Internet Explorer to end is its features, which very few people use and Microsoft released their new browser Edge which is now based on chromium with many good features and a modern user interface.

So what's next?

It's the new Microsoft Edge. Microsoft says that the future of Internet Explorer on Windows is the all-new Microsoft Edge browser. Edge has a lot of features and better features compared to Internet Explorer and it is considered a better alternative to Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Microsoft asked users who use Internet Explorer to Switch Edge and says that Edge has better-improved compatibility, better-streamlined productivity, and better browser security. Microsoft Edge is faster and has its own store called Edge add-ons for installing extensions and it can also install extensions from the Chrome web store.

So Microsoft Internet Explorer will be nowhere on Earth?

The answer is NO because Microsoft is introducing a new mode called the Internet Explorer mode ( I.E mode ) which will help you access legacy Internet Explorer-based websites and applications right from the Chromium Edge. Microsoft has given enough time for users to switch to Edge and Microsoft also says that it wants to provide a path to the web future while still respecting the past. Edge I.E mode will be supported until the year 2029, the Tech-giant said in the statement.

How to enable IE mode on Microsoft Edge?

1.Open MS edge ( Chromium ) on Windows 10.

2.Click the Settings and click on the More button.

3.Select the Settings option in that.

4.Click on Default browser and Under the “Internet Explorer compatibility” section, turn on the “Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode” option.

5.Click on the Restart button.

The I.E mode may also go out out of support in the year 2029, i.e, after 8 years so there still time.
